Jeff Rogers began his formal training in music at a young age in Illinois. He began playing guitar in 1997 when a sophomore in high school.  He studied guitar during the day and playing jazz bass professionally at night.  He began studying classical guitar in 1997 at Millikin University’s preparatory department.  He continued training in St. Louis and later in Los Angeles, studying with four of the world's top guitarists including members of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet.

Mr. Rogers entered the  Peabody Conservatory of Music of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland in 1999.  He trained in the studio of Julian Gray and received extra instruction from Ray Chester and Manuel Barrueco. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree in 2003 and Master of Music in Guitar Performance in 2004.

Mr. Rogers has performed in Japan and throughout America in both solo and chamber music settings.   In addition to performing, he has recorded in several styles, both as solo guitarist and in ensembles. 

Currently Jeff lives and teaches in the greater New Orleans, Louisiana area.  He is on faculty of Southeastern Louisiana University, and instructor at the Music Academy for the Performing Arts, and director of music at New Covenant Presbyterian Church.
